Our Management Team
Michael Roy | Owner/Chief Executive Officer
Michael's passion for woodworking started at a young age. His career began in furniture making at a well known company in Connecticut. He then went on to study and teach boatbuilding. After this he returned to Connecticut to apprentice with an old-school craftsman in house construction and historic renovations. This experience led to starting his own custom cabinet shop, which he ran for 4 years before moving to Maine. Once in Maine, he took on the role of Shop Manager at a well known high-end construction company for 5 years. In 2003, he co-founded Phi Home Designs which embodies his extensive background in design, fine home construction, cabinetry, and furniture making. Furthermore, Michael has spearheaded a unique approach to home building that entails working collaboratively with the client, architect, landscape architect and interior designer from the initial concept to completion of the project. Michael resides in Camden and has two beautiful girls, Avery and Eliza.
Rob Troxler | Chief Operating Officer
Rob has spent a lifetime devoted to the business and art of woodworking and home construction. With twenty plus years in the custom furniture, construction, and high-end cabinet industry, Rob brings a wealth of hands-on woodworking know-how, an artistic sensibility and an exceptional attention to detail. Rob oversees all aspects of Phi's operations with the goal of ensuring high quality work produced efficiently and effectively while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our staff, subcontractors and clients. His day to day activities also includes contract negotiation, company financials, client relations, human resources, and marketing. Rob lives in Rockland with his wife Shelly Ubbelohde who owns and operates the Charisma Artist Agency a music and entertainment booking company.
Will Power | Estimator/Project Manager
Will is a happily married father of 4, grandfather of 2, and historical vehicle aficionado. He grew up in California; studied Electrical Engineering Majored in Language, Art History and Math. Will has held Licenses as a California General Contractor, Heavy Equipment Operator and trained in rigorous structural performance standards. Will has operated as a sole proprietor as well as consultant and support staff for several general contractors for over 30 years. Will's strengths are in budgeting and estimating construction projects as well as designing and implementation of complicated projects.
Tommy Uhll | Project Supervisor
After serving four years in the United States Marine Corps, Tommy focused his energy as a partner in the family construction business in New York and subsequently became owner upon his father's retirement. After 15 years of wearing all the hats that make a construction company successful, Tommy and his family moved to Maine in 2006 and with that he has brought along his construction knowledge, site management skills, and dedication to customer service. As Project Supervisor, he is dedicated to maintaining the Phi standard of quality which stems from a well organized, efficient, and positive jobsite.
Rob Dwelley | Project Supervisor
Rob has been building for over 30 years and operated his own company in both Salisbury, CT and Westport Harbor, MA before moving to Maine in 2001. He has focused on energy efficient structures and has built active and passive solar houses as well as stress skin Post and Beam and most recently full Insulated Concrete Form houses. During those 30 years Rob has also maintained a number of vintage wooden yachts and in his spare time worked for Hurricane Island Outward Bound. He lives in Hope with Sarah who is Director of Hospice for Pen Bay.
Erik Durbas | Architectural Coordinator
Before moving to Maine in 2006, Erik and his wife, Cheryl, operated a general contracting company in Richmond, Virginia that specialized in interior renovations. During that time Erik was also the full time manager of a large commercial interiors company that focused on custom cabinetry and millwork. His roles there included project estimation and management, computer rendering and design and CNC programming. Prior to that he gathered cabinetry building and finishing skills while working for two other Virginia-based cabinetry shops. Upon moving to Maine, and before joining the Phi team, Erik spent four years as a project manager, estimator and draftsman for another Midcoast construction company that specializes in high-end residential and commercial projects. Erik and Cheryl live in Union on a wood lot with their canine and feline companions. They came to Maine to enjoy everything this wonderful state has to offer and they are doing just that.
Jesse Dunn | Shop Manager
Jesse officially became a Phi team member in 2008 and lives in Camden with his loving wife and 3 marvelous kids. After studying Art, Adventure Education, and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maine, Jesse graduated with a degree in Non-Toxic Printmaking. Once finished with school, life took Jesse out west where he learned the art of building custom log homes and spent countless hours pursuing one of his passions mountain biking. Upon returning to his native state of Maine he continued with custom home construction by building traditionally framed houses as well as insulated concrete houses. Jesse's career continued to evolve as his attention to detail, love of solving complex problems with simple, efficient solutions and passion for creating things led him to a unique opportunity to apprentice a master cabinetmaker, one-on-one, for 2 ½ years. His passion for fine woodworking has consumed him ever since and he truly understands the Phi Home designs concept: from foundation to furniture.
Sally Russillo | Office Manager/Bookkeeper
Sally joined Phi in September 2010. She graduated from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI in 1994 with a Bachelor's degree. She has since perfected her skills as an administrative professional working for both small firms as well as Fortune 500 companies. Her passion for a well-organized office and love of working with numbers led her to her current position as Phi's Office Manager & Bookkeeper. Sally lives in Camden with her husband and two sons.
